How Much does a Disneyland Weekend Cost in 2026?

Planning a weekend at the Disneyland Resort often starts with one massive question: how much is this actually going to cost? We just ran the numbers for a standard long weekend in Anaheim, comparing off-property and on-property stays as ways to experience the magic in 2026.

This is a realistic look at the middle ground pricing guide that’s somewhere in between "budget" travelers and luxury. We focus on affordable luxury travel and getting our money’s worth without worrying about every little penny nor upgrading to the fanciest, most luxury options. In Disney, this means paying to skip lines while not staying at the priciest resort, or having a corn dog for dinner and any kind of snack we’d like rather than paying for pricey character table service meals or bringing food into the park to save money.

So for the cost of this trip example, the pricing guide is based on a comfortable, experience-focused weekend where you stay close to the action, eat well, and maximize every hour you have in the parks. Whether you choose to stay next to the parks on Disney property or save some cash by staying just down the street, we have the breakdown of what you can expect to spend for one long weekend for two!

(Prices do not include flights or transportation as varies greatly per person.)

Our Pricing Rubric for a 3-night Disneyland Trip

For this comparison, we looked at a three-night stay from Friday, May 8 to Monday, May 11, 2026. Our rubric includes two full park days with 1-Park Per Day tickets—one day dedicated to Disneyland Park and one to Disney California Adventure. This timing allows you to experience a full day in each of the parks during the beautiful California spring weather before the heavy summer crowds arrive.

We have chosen two distinct stays for our comparison: staying at the historic Disneyland Hotel versus staying at a high-quality off-property hotel like the Anaheim Marriott. Each choice offers a different level of immersion and convenience, allowing you to choose what fits your travel style.

In addition, we have mapped out a realistic dining formula for two people. This includes a quick-service breakfast, lunch, dinner, and plejnty of daily snacks. Since everyone’s shopping interests and travel origins vary, the only costs not included in these totals are transportation to Anaheim, alcohol, and souvenirs.

How Much Does Staying at Disneyland Cost?

The biggest variable in any Disneyland budget is where you choose to rest your head. We have stayed at multiple properties on our many visits to Disneyland and have two favorites, both off and on property. Confused at the difference of “off-property” and “on-property?” Check out our Disney Lingo guide!

For the on-property hotel option, we absolutely love staying at the Disneyland Hotel. Beyond the convenience of staying on property, the history of this property is enough to make any Disney fan cough up the extra funds to stay in what’s truly a piece of Disney history. This was the first Disney hotel to ever exist! More importantly, this hotel project was personally overseen by Walt Disney, and that legacy is felt everywhere from the vintage photos in the lobby to the light-up musical headboards in the towers.

As of January 2026, Disney replaced the old (and amazing) 30-minute Early Entry benefit with a new “bonus” of just one complimentary Lightning Lane Multi-Pass entry per guest, per stay. Personally, this change is highly disappointing and makes the price of staying on property not quite as worth it as it used to be. Speaking of price, from May 8-11, 2026, the cost for a three-night stay for two adults at the Disneyland Hotel is $1,691.

We’ve also stayed at several different off-property options, but the one we like most of all is the Anaheim Marriott. While you won't have the Disney-themed immersion or the free Lightning Lane perk, you are still within a short distance of the gates. We’ve both walked and taken an Uber to and from the Disneyparks from the Anaheim Marriott hotel. We’d say before the park day, it feels nice in the morning to be able to walk to the parks! But at the end of the night, you’re likely to want to request an uber ride after walking around the park all day! Ubers come quickly and cost about $20 for the short ride. Speaking of prices, from May 8-11, 2026, the cost for a three-night stay for two adults at the Anaheim Marriott is $785 for three nights, meaning you’d saving over $900 staying off-property.

The Cost of Park Tickets & Lightning Lanes

The cost of tickets is the most fixed part of your budget, but it is also where your strategy can make or break the experience. For our 2026 pricing rubric, we calculated the cost for two adults for two days with 1-Park Per Day tickets totals $670 for a weekend in early May. This averages out to $335 per person for the weekend. We intentionally chose the 1-Park Per Day option because, for a short weekend trip, you’ll have a better chance of seeing more per park if you do just one park per day instead of hopping from one to the other.

The Park Hopper upgrade adds the ability to bounce between parks, but costs an additional $100 per person! If you want to keep your budget tighter, skip the $200 total for the upgrade and spend that time watching the parades or exploring the historic details of the hotels instead. Each park has more than enough amazing entertainment to fill a full park day.

The other essential factor in your ticket budget is the Lightning Lane Multi-Pass. For two people over two park days a Lightning Lane Multi Pass costs roughly $34 per person, per day, or $136 total. To get the most out of your limited time, we basically view this is a non-negotiable expense. Weekends at Disneyland are notoriously busy, and without the Multi-Pass, you could easily spend half your day standing in a single standby line for a major attraction like Indiana Jones Adventure or Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!

Investing that $136 upfront is essentially buying back hours of your time. It allows you to book arrival windows for the most popular rides from your phone, keeping you moving through the park rather than standing still. The value of actually getting to experience the attractions you paid for far outweighs the cost of the pass.

Food Costs for Two in Disneyland & DCA

Food is usually where people lose track of their spending. We have done the math based on high-quality quick-service meals and plenty of snacks to ensure you aren't hungry between rides and get to try all the trending, amazing snack options. This budget allows you to order whatever you want from the mobile app without spending half of your day at long, drawn out table service meals.

For breakfast, we budget $25 per person each morning for a solid breakfast plate and a coffee. We love starting at the quick service options in the hotel croissant and cold brew or Galactic Grill for their breakfast burritos and a coffee. For lunch, we set aside $25 per person for a typical quick-service meal like one at Pizza planet we’re you’ll have a soda, slice of pizza, and a dessert. Dinner is the same, if not slightly more substantial at $30 per person.

And then there are the snacks! You cannot visit Disneyland without them! We budget for roughly 2.5 (2 separate and one shared) snacks per person each day at $12 per snack. This covers the iconic treats like a beignets, Dole Whip, a mickey pretzel, or a seasonal churro that make the trip feel complete.

We found that for a three-day weekend, two people spend about collective $500 on food. This breaks down to $125 per person, per day. Now, this could vary greatly if you’ve got a big appetite, don’t like to snack, or want to try tons of cocktails and treats. We tend to like to eat quick and run to the next attraction or ride!

The Total Cost of a 2026 Disneyland Trip for Two

After adding up the hotel, two days of tickets ($670 for two), and the essential Lightning Lane Multi-Passes to skip the weekend lines ($136), here is the final tally for a realistic weekend in 2026.

The Total Cost while staying On-Property costs right at $3,000. This is for the couple who wants the full historical immersion, the convenience of the Disneyland Hotel, and the extra complimentary Lightning Lane pass to keep the day moving.

The Total Cost while staying Off-Property costs right at $2,100. This is for the couple who wants the exact same park experience and food quality but are okay with losing the theming, walking a little further, and saving about $900 towards another adventure.
